Status – John 12:42-43

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

John 12:42-43
Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not confess their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; for they loved praise from men more than praise from God.

This is so sad to read. Yet, we can look at this and see how it’s happening with many people still today. When some people realize Yeshua taught Torah is still for today, they are afraid it will come at a cost. So to keep from losing friends, income, status, you name it, they reason away that knowledge.

Are you willing to be cast out of your circle of friends to be a true follower of Yeshua? Can we really call someone a “friend” if we have to choose them over what our savior is telling us? If they are so apt to cast us to the side, should we really consider them friends?

If it ever comes to a choice between being 100% obedient or keeping certain friends, may we always choose obedience.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
