Strangers – 1 Peter 1:17

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 Peter 1:17
Since you call on a Father who judges each man’s work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear.

Did you notice the reason why we should live our lives as strangers in reverent fear? It’s because YHWH will judge each man’s work impartially. He will look at every one of us the same when it comes to our judgment. Do you live your life with that thought in mind?

Some could say “Oh Steve, that would be living your life in fear.” No, that’s living your life in reverential fear for the maker of the Universe. Trying to keep ourselves in alignment with His
ways as we walk through this world.

That’s what separates a true believer from anyone else in the world. A true believer is one who
seeks after the ways of the Father. They choose to set the ways of the world to the side and
determines to walk in the ways of YHWH. They live their lives as strangers in this world and not
as buddies to it.

So the question for all of us is “Are we living our lives here as strangers in reverent fear?”

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
