Strength – Acts 4:29

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Acts 4:29
Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.

Amazing isn’t it? They weren’t crying about being abused. They weren’t begging YHWH for vengeance on their enemies. They weren’t even praying for the hard times to end. They were praying for strength to stand up under the hard times. Wow. They weren’t praying for easy lives. They were praying for strength to stand strong in their lives. What an example!

When going through hard times it’s so easy to be focused on ourselves in wanting things to be easy. It’s only natural. Who wants to go though hard times? Right? But we must remember YHWH is more concerned about our character than he is about our comfort.

We all say we want to grow in the Lord, until the growing pains kick in that is. Situations can come in our lives that can just seem so unfair. When those times come, don’t pray for easier lives. Pray for strength. Don’t take matters into your own hands. Trust YHWH. Watch him move in you. Whether or not the situation changes around you may be irrelevant in the eyes of YHWH. He’s more concerned with what takes place in you first.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
