Super Freak – Matthew 3:4-5

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Matthew 3:4-5
John’s clothes were made of camel’s hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey. People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region of the Jordan.

I’ve heard many messages on how John the Baptist was a radical and many attributed this to his appearance. In turn, we see many today who believe if they wear clothing reminiscent of John’s or let their hair grow the way they believe John’s could have looked like, they believe others should look to them as coming in the spirit of John the Baptist. For what it’s worth, there are many in the world today who have that same look and appearance. So does that mean they come in the spirit of John the Baptist? Of course not. If you want to be like John, focus on what he said and did.

Matthew 3:1
In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the Desert of Judea and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.”

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
