Tailored Temptation – Matthew 4:10

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Matthew 4:10
Yeshua said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'”

Satan took Yeshua to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. Satan then said “All this I will give you, if you will bow down and worship me.”

What is Satan offering you? What’s he tempting you with? He’ll tempt you with your knowledge. You might be saying “What do you mean by that?” Think of it this way. You don’t think Yeshua didn’t know that one day He’ll be ruling the world from Jerusalem? Of course He did. So Satan tried taking advantage of that and basically said “Hey, I’ll give all this to you right now. You don’t have to go through all of this you’re about to do. You can by-pass everything right this moment and go straight to the top if you just worship me.”

He tempted Yeshua with something He knew was coming but the test was through impatience and ease. What does Satan tempt you with? How is he trying to get you to bow? It’ll be tailored just for you.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.

Here's something interesting to consider:
