Then – Proverbs 2:1-5

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Proverbs 2:1-5
My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of YHWH and find the knowledge of God.

Did you notice the progression in verses 1 through 4?

“Accept his words.” Progressing to… “store up his commands.”

“Turn your ear to wisdom.” Progressing to… “apply your heart to understanding.”

“Call out for insight.” Progressing to… “cry aloud for understanding.”

“Look for it like silver.” Progressing to… “search for it as for hidden treasure.”

We’re not to just do these things, but to pursue them with all of our heart.

Not living life haphazardly in our Spiritual walk, but living it on purpose with enthusiasm and energy.

Then verse 5 says “For then you will understand… Then you find…” THEN. That’s a big word. Not when you seek on your terms and conditions but when you do so on His.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout today. Until next time, Shalom
