Training Grounds – Genesis 39:5

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Genesis 39:5
From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, YHWH blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph. The blessing of YHWH was on everything Potiphar had, both in the house and in the field.

YHWH blessed Joseph with being charge and blessed Potiphar as a result. Even when Joseph was placed in prison YHWH blessed him with being in charge.

Genesis 39:21
YHWH was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden. 22 So the warden put Joseph in charge of all those held in the prison, and he was made responsible for all that was done there.

Joseph was put in charge of a house. In good times, if you will. He was put in charge of a prison. In bad times if you will. Maybe it’s just me, but I think YHWH was training him to be over Egypt. During the good years and the bad years.

What’s YHWH training you for? Just remember, if you’re not willing to submit to the law, how will you be deemed worthy to administrate it?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!

Here's something interesting to consider:
