Trust – Psalm 119:18 (w/1 Samuel 17)

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Psalm 44:6-7
I do not trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory; 7 but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame.

Weapons over the years have definitely changed. Yet, may we never forget that regardless of the quality of weapons one may have, victory is always in the hands of YHWH. Think of it this way. Consider the story of David and Goliath.

1 Samuel 17:4
A champion named Goliath, who was from Gath, came out of the Philistine camp. He was over nine feet tall. 5 He had a bronze helmet on his head and wore a coat of scale armor of bronze weighing five thousand shekels; 6 on his legs he wore bronze greaves, and a bronze javelin was slung on his back. 7 His spear shaft was like a weaver’s rod, and its iron point weighed six hundred shekels. His shield bearer went ahead of him.

Goliath, with all the latest technology, if you will, still lost the battle to a young boy with a sling shot. What or who are you trusting in today?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
