Unsung Heroes – Philemon 23-24

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Philemon 23-24
Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, sends you greetings. And so do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas and Luke, my fellow workers.

There are five names listed here in these two verses. Epaphras, Mark, Aristarchus, Demas and Luke. Most everyone has heard of Mark and Luke. However, that’s mostly because of the gospels Mark and Luke. Yet, what about the other three? Epaphras, Aristarchus and Demas. These were men who helped Paul. These men were right there with him in it all. Yet, hardly anybody knows who they are. If I was guessing, these men probably wanted it that way. I’d like to start a saying. “Behind every great ministry, there’s great volunteers.”

Having people right there with you through the thick and thin of it makes such a huge difference. I am truly thankful for our volunteers at TorahFamily. And I can only imagine the love Paul had for these men as well. You may not feel like you can be a “Paul” for the Kingdom. However, YHWH may be calling you to be like one of these five men.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!

Here's something interesting to consider:
