Vicious Circle – Luke 6:31

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Luke 6:31
Do to others as you would have them do to you.

To let it sink in, let’s read this one more time. “Do to others as you would have them do to you.”

Pretty simple right? It really is. So do you do this? Regardless of how others have treated you, do you still try to treat them as you want to be treated?

Have you ever reacted to someone in a bad way before? Of course you have. Somewhere along the way we all have. So if someone ever reacts to us in a bad way, shouldn’t we respond in way that we would like to be responded to? Absolutely. The problem is we don’t think of this when someone does us wrong. We only think of how we are right at the moment. Then our selfishness kicks in and we try to give some kind of payback. Then if the other person feels the same way and doesn’t follow this verse, all we see is a vicious circle never ending. So please, break the vicious circle. Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
