What Can Man Do? – Psalm 118:6

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Psalm 118:6
YHWH is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

What can man do to me? Well, in one respect, man can do a lot. Yet, we know that’s completely temporary. In the light of eternity, our current state is here today and gone tomorrow. In that light, man can do nothing. It’s in that perspective that we need to live our lives. To stay focused on that which is eternal and not temporal. This is not necessarily an easy task. Yet, it is achievable. When we keep ourselves focused on the final goal, nothing can deter us.

Regardless of what man may throw your way, or even what they may do directly to you, keep your eyes on YHWH. There is nothing in this life they can take away that you won’t be blessed far greater for on the other side. Be determined now to have your eyes set for the eternal. Then, you will truly be able to say. “YHWH is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
