What Gauge are you Using – Psalm 37:23,24

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Psalm 37:23 If YHWH delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm; 24 though he stumble, he will not fall, for YHWH upholds him with his hand.

Does YHWH delight in your way? What an awesome thought to think that YHWH takes delight in you. The creator of the whole universe can take pleasure in you. If He does take joy in you, it says that He will make your steps firm. What does that mean? Does that mean you’ll be financially successful? Does it mean people will look up to you?

If it means you will be financially successful, does that mean that everyone who is financially successful is pleasing to YHWH? Does that mean that everyone who is poor is not pleasing to YHWH? The obvious answer for both is “No.” Paul said he knew times of want and having plenty.

Yet, neither is public opinion of you to be a gauge. Remember, the prophets that YHWH sent to
His people were killed by those very people.

Be careful in what you use to gauge to see if YHWH is delighting in you.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
