Who are you Walking With? – Proverbs 13:20
Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.
He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.
Attitudes rub off. It’s just the way it is. Think of it this way. Have you ever watched children after they’ve watched a movie? They almost always reenact elements of that movie. If there’s racing, they come out as racers. If there’s karate, they come out as Ninjas. If it’s about horses, everybody wants to ride a horse.
However, adults aren’t all that different. So we have to ask ourself, who are we making our companions? Influence can come from many different sources. Newspapers, TV, movies. You name it. People who you may NEVER allow into your home is suddenly given access through other means.
Yeshua is the ultimate in being wise. So when we walk with Yeshua, we grow in Yeshua – wisdom. But how much time do we give that relationship? We can talk about that relationship. We can sing about that relationship. But how much time are we GIVING that relationship. There IS a difference you know.
Be mindful of the time you give others in their influence on you verses the time you give in growing in His wisdom.
Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout today. Until next time, Shalom
