Worthy? – Psalms 37:1

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Psalms 37:1-2
Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.

It concerns me that many forget history is cyclical. What has happened in the past, you can be sure it’s going to happen again. Scripture even declares it.

Ecclesiastes 1:9
What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.

There have been times in the past that has been labeled as “Barbaric.” Yet, just because you don’t see it, it doesn’t mean it’s not happening to someone else in the world right now. Just because it’s not right in front of you, it doesn’t mean it’s not coming your way.

We’ve all heard of stories where people suffered, were tortured and even martyred for the cause of Messiah. Hebrews 11:32-38 mentions many as well. Verse 38 impacts me the most.

38 the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground.

If the time called for it, could you stand for your faith in the face of torture or martyrdom? Could it be said of you that the world was not worthy of you?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
