Your Salvation – Philippians 2:12

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

Matthew 6:12
Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

We see here that Yeshua’s model prayer includes a request for the forgiveness of our sins. Yet, it comes with a catch. Our forgiveness is based on how we forgive others. That’s a concept that many struggle with. After all, YHWH forgives all who ask right? True, but the moment you have been forgiven, you are expected to do the same for others. Otherwise you’d be a hypocrite saying you can be forgiven but you don’t have to forgive.

It seems that everyone is quick to say “Nobody’s perfect” when we make a mistake or offend someone. Yet, how rare that phrase comes to mind when we are the offended. Keep things in perspective. YHWH has forgiven us of much more and much greater sin against Him than what one may have don’t to you. I’m not saying it’s easy. Not at all. Yet, it can be done. It should be done.

So, do you want to be forgiven? How well do you forgive others? If this is a topic you struggle with, please see our teaching “The Need for Forgiveness.” Forgiveness. If you want it, you need to give it.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.
