Face to Face – 1 John 4:18

Welcome to Scriptures for Life with TorahFamily.org. Taking time to focus on the Father’s way.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with
punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Fear. We’ve all been scared at one moment or another and for more than one reason or another.
Fear has a way of paralyzing. Have you ever had one of those moments? When you heard
something as you’re laying in bed at night and you’re simply frozen there in fear? What a
horrible feeling. Yet, if we’re a child of God, should we fear?

The answer is “No.” Trust me, I know there can be times when that’s way easier said than done.
However, it doesn’t change the fact that we as believers should not fear. If we are pursuing
YHWH, He will not let something happen to us that shouldn’t happen. Do we trust in Him?
That’s easy to answer when things are going good. This question is honestly answered only when
it’s tested. Can we trust Him in those moments when we’re confronting fear face to face?

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, shalom!
